There aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. I experience it daily, have spoken with others who experience it daily, and have read innumerable posts from folks in the same situation. This is where to-do lists and calendar scheduling automation come into play. We can free up a substantial amount of time that we did not think we had, as well as accomplish our goals or responsibilities far more efficiently.
Meet Todoist. It is a unique to-do list that can be integrated into your life in multiple ways to help you become more efficient. Additionally, it maintains track of the items you’ve crossed off to help you feel more accomplished. The features are straightforward but useful. You can put in tasks using natural language. For example, “Pick up the groceries tomorrow at 6 p.m.” It has a clean interface with labels for tasks to be arranged, priorities for determining what requires the most attention, and the ability to perform subtasks when a single task requires more work. Additionally, you can forward emails to it in order to generate tasks.
Todoist has become the spot to enter the tasks, but the real magic happens with Reclaim. Reclaim interacts with your Google Calendar and Todoist, and when you add a task, Reclaim will identify time on your calendar based on the task’s due date and priority and schedule its completion. It can also organize personal objectives and assignments. For instance, if you wish to practice more yoga, you can enter that information and it will be scheduled as time permits. The scheduling is also intelligent. If a task is planned where a meeting should be, Reclaim will automatically reschedule the tasks to accommodate your day. After completing a job, you simply check it off, and Reclaim will mark it as complete on your calendar. Notably, Reclaim at current expects jobs to be completed when the target date expires and does not shift a task if it is not. Instead, it gives it a thumbs up icon. If you need to reschedule, you can either manually relocate it or instruct Reclaim to do it automatically.
There is so much more to say about both of these applications, and I’ve just scratched the surface here, but I urge you to check them out to ensure nothing gets overlooked in your busy life.
