Being inefficient can hurt your business. Taking to long for simple task can be stressful for you and the customer. Here are a couple things to ask yourself about your business.
- Does your business accept text messages?
- The answer should be yes. With a response time of no more than 1 hour. 30 minutes or less is ideal. MightyText can help with this.
- What’s your average email response time?
- More than 24 hours and you’ll likely lose customers. With technology these days, you should be able to efficiently respond to emails within an hour or two. 30 minutes or less is more preferable. I recommend Google Inbox to help with this.
- Do you have an up to date website?
- If not. Might be time to. Having a strong web presence is important these days. Contact info, location, services, etc should all be up to date. Having a mobile responsive site is a must as well.
- What’s your average hold time?
- If your business uses automated systems, they should be to a minimum and should be easy for a frustrated customer to get a representative. Hold times should never be longer than 15 minutes. Most of the time, I won’t wait on hold longer than 5 minutes.
- How do you schedule appointments?
- Using a system that syncs with your mobile device is definitely preferable if you’re a small business. Online scheduling is a must. Google Calendar is my favorite.
- On average, how much down time do you have due to technology issues?
- If more than 30 minutes a month. Please contact me for a great rate on keeping you going.
- You may also have some level of downtime and not even know it, in turn losing a potential customer.
